ANOINTED FOR BRIDAL LOVE

You are anointed for bridal love. The Lord wants to give us a revelation of the bridegroom and the bride. He wants to take us into the burning heart of God.

The Lord has given the church the institution of marriage to help us better understand the relationship between Him (the bridegroom) and us (the bride). He wants us to grab hold of the person He is calling us to be – the bride. Yes, church we are the bride of Christ - Not only corporately, but individually as well. Male or female, he wants us to get to a place where our minds are renewed so that we see ourselves as a bride.

There is a call higher. Many of us are acquainted with God. When you become a Christian, you “meet” God. This is just the beginning! From there, a friendship grows if we are obedient to Him: “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you”, John 15:14-15. Not only is he calling us to friendship, but He is calling us to be the most intimate of all friends – a spouse!

No calling is greater than this! This is the very definition by which we will live. Many of us are asking God for our needs to be met, for wisdom in daily living, for His will in our lives, and for healing, but this is what the Lord has to say: “Come up here, Come up here! I’m calling you to be the bride! Forget your people and your father’s house. The king is enthralled by your beauty! (Psalm 45:10-11)”

He is calling us to “forget our people and our father’s house” Well, what does that mean? Our father’s house is where we came from and who we are. We all were born to two natural parents and have a past. We all reside in a natural house, or family, of some description. The call is to forget it all! Every earthly situation that is holding us preoccupied, every care, every worry – forget it all and pursue bridal preparations!

Forget about praying for our problems! He wants to take us into the bridal chambers, to the burning heart of God! In this place of intimacy, as we become one flesh with Jesus Christ, all of our needs will be met. Does the bridegroom not know how to care for His bride, His Beloved? “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery – but I am talking about Christ and the church.” (Ephesians 5:31-32)

What does it mean when we become one flesh? Intimacy. Unity. We become a holy habitation. We become a resting place for Holy Spirit. The Lord wants to talk to you. He wants to cohabitate with you. We minister to Him and He ministers to us. We know each others’ thoughts. We have one and the same mind and purpose! We move as one because we are one flesh, we think as one because we have the mind of Christ, we possess what He possesses which is everything– “Everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15)

Some points of interest:
1. Be obedient, as well as minister, unto the Lord.
2. Become quiet in your mind, will, and emotions so that you can hear the still small voice.
3. Look to Him for your bridal reward - Psalm 45:10-17.
4. Have an abounding love – Philippians 1:9-11 “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, and that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
