"Soaking" is a time regularly set aside where in the quietness of our soul we can, with the aid of selected music, spend time with God; It is a time of opening ourselves up to receive a revelation of His love – the love that Jesus displayed by going to the cross; the love that purchased total forgiveness for us. It is a time to draw close to God our Father and His Son Jesus with the aid of the Holy Spirit, to experience a closer relationship with them. Soaking provides the opportunity for us to experience God's love so that we may become established in His love and, in turn, the roots of our identity and our personality may become established in Him. Through intimacy, we will experience a healing for our heart because we realize how much we are loved! We also now have an increased passion for more of this relationship of intimacy. Ephesians 3:17-19, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” |
